Congratulations to the Emergency Medicine Society of South Africa,
our hosts of the ICEM in 2016.
Cape Town is consistently listed as one of the World's must see
destinations; it is a popular tourist city with many and varied natural
and cultural sites. The EMSSA is a young organisation and indeed
emergency medicine is a new speciality there. By awarding EMSSA the
opportunity to host this event (the first time it will have been held on
African soil), IFEM will contribute significantly to the development of
the speciality not only in South Africa but in Africa as a whole.
