The IFEM has launched the expansion of its educational program by collaborating with organisations around the world to produce Symposia that are focussing on key themes in Global Emergency Care.
9th NEW YORK SYMPOSIUM ON INTERNATIONAL EMERGENCY MEDICINE
Hosted by the North Shore-LIJ Hospital and the University of Maryland School of Medicine Departments of Emergency Medicine, IFEM co-sponsored the 9th Annual New York Symposium for International Emergency Medicine, held in Manhattan at the New York Academy of Medicine on August 22-23, 2012. The conference theme was "IEM Opportunities for Students, Residents and Fellows". Keynote speaker Dr Art Kellerman spoke on the topic of "Emergency Medicine and Global Health." The next New York Symposium will be held on 7-8 August 2013 at the Lenox Hill Hopsital, NYC.
SYMPOSIUM ON QUALITY AND SAFETY IN EMERGENCY CARE
CEM and IFEM collaborated in November 2011to present a Symposium on Quality and Safety in Emergency Care. As a result, IFEM has produced the IFEM Framework for Quality and Safety in the Emergency Department. A draft of this document is available

INAUGURAL SYMPOSIUM ON RESUSCITATION, JUNE 2011
