In October 2011, the IFEM Assembly (formerly the ‘Board’) approved a revision of the By-laws implementing the new Tripartite system of governance, allowing for more efficient administration of a growing membership, whilst retaining proper representation of all IFEM Members. Primarily this involves the establishment of a new Board comprising the six members of the Executive, and six new Regional Board Member positions for six geographic regions.
At the same time, four positions on the Executive will become vacant in June 2012.
• President-elect
• Vice President (J. Ducharme re-nominating)
• Secretary
• Treasurer (A. Singer re-nominating)
Regional Board representatives:
• Africa
• Asia
• Australasia
• Europe
• North America
• Central and South America
Only Full and Financial Members of IFEM are eligible to vote. Further details regarding the new Board structure are available
here.
You can access an extract of the relevant By-laws
here, which details of the roles and responsibilities of the new Board and the Officers of the Executive.
If you have any questions at all about this process, please do not hesitate to contact Carol Reardon at the Secretariat.
