Role of the Clinical Practice Committee:

  • To collaborate with the work of the Specialty Implementation Committee and the Core Curriculum and Education Committee
  • Provide educational and teaching material in emergency medicine clinical areas to the IFEM membership and to the international emergency medicine community
  • To evaluate, amend and distribute existing educational and teaching material to the IFEM membership and to the international emergency medicine community
  • To develop, design and distribute IFEM-sanctioned emergency medicine clinical practice educational and teaching material, to be provided to the IFEM membership and to the international emergency medicine community

Work and achievements

The Clinical Practice Committee is committed to improving the educational resources available to all healthcare staff, wishing to improve their emergency care. Each of the Special Interest Groups is devoted to assisting in their specialist area of work.


Resources and training

There are 9 Special Interest Groups within the Clinical Practice Committee. They have a lot of valuable resources, free for use by any emergency medical care worker across the world. These range from mission statements, to benchmarking documents, curricula for specialist areas of practice, internationally accepted standards of care, fellowship opportunities and systematic literature reviews.
