RMH Covid-19 Home Monitoring Project
RMH Home Monitoring lets a hospital manage a large number of Covid-19 patients using their smartphones and two simple medical devices (pulse oximeter + thermometer). The goal is to oversee a large number of relatively healthy patients in their own homes, saving bed space and staff resources. The system prompts patients twice per day to submit their own heart rate, body temperature and oxygen saturation via a website. Clinicians are alerted to patients with concerning or critical vitals. Automation keep staff interaction and administrative work minimal. RMH Home Monitoring is a REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture tool) project template that you can copy and adapted for your facility. Patients interact with the system via public websites (REDCap Surveys).

Severity Scoring Tool, instructions and training video
The African Federation for Emergency Medicine has partnered with U.S. based Surgisphere to develop a COVID-19 Severity Scoring Tool. Using advanced machine learning on real data from 13,500 COVID-19 patients, the tool aims to aid frontline clinicians in rapidly determining which patients require respiratory interventions. It is available in paper form and a web-based application, and in English, French and Spanish.

The International Emergency Medicine (iEM) Education Project
iEM is international, non-profit project, endorsed by IFEM and supported by Emergency Medicine professionals from all around the world. Currently, there are 177 contributors from 27 countries in the project. It aims to promote Emergency Medicine and provide free, reusable educational content for undergraduate medical students and educators.   Although the project focuses mainly on the undergraduate curriculum, we believe learners of all levels (residents and postgraduate trainees in Emergency Medicine) and their educators will benefit from this resource during this challenging period with closures of many universities and educational institutions worldwide.
