Carol Reardon, our wonderful Executive Officer who has been with IFEM since 2010, is leaving us. Over that time, Carol has been dedicated to improving the organisation and progressing its goals, and she has contributed greatly to IFEM’s many achievements.
As you are all aware, Carol has been tireless in her support of the Board, IFEM entities, members and staff, and has worked extremely hard for the organisation and its broader objectives. I know she is held in very high regard by members and staff, and by everyone she has liaised with on IFEM’s behalf. We could always depend on her deep knowledge about the organisation, the people in emergency care, and how things actually happen.
Carol told me that “some of the best moments of working for IFEM have been meeting people from around the world that are dedicated, care for others and simply want to make the world a better place. It’s inspiring and I hope that I have been able to help in some small way.”
She will be greatly missed. Personally speaking in my role as President, Carol has been my go to person and I will miss speaking with her multiple times a week as well as miss her efficient assistance at every turn.
On behalf of the Board and the wider organisation, I wish Carol well for her future and I thank her for her outstanding contribution to IFEM over such a long period. I am looking forward to the time when we can all get together and celebrate Carol’s contribution and our ongoing friendships. She will always be a part of the wider IFEM family.
