IFEM Board Election June 2020: Call for Nominations

The International Federation for Emergency Medicine is calling for nominations for the IFEM Board for terms commencing June 2020.

Nominations are invited for the following:

Five Executive positions:

  • President-elect
  • Vice President
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Liaison and Oversight Officer

Six Regional Board representatives:

  • Africa
  • Asia
  • Australasia
  • Central and South America
  • Europe
  • North America

Term of office is two years, and is renewable.  Board members are appointed as directors of the IFEM, a public company limited by guarantee and incorporated in Australia. Generally individuals elected to the Board should have previously served on the Assembly or chaired IFEM standing committees.

Nominees for President-Elect must be individuals who are either current or immediate past Board members or, current or immediate past committee chairs. Nominees for all other Officer positions should serve or have served as either members of the Board, as a current Committee Chair or current or immediate past Assembly representative.

One face to face meeting is held in June each year during the ICEM, and members meet via online meetings 4-5 times per year.

Founding or Full Member Societies of IFEM are eligible to nominate candidates.  Nominations must be submitted on the appropriate form, signed by the leading representative of the nominating Society and be submitted to the Executive Officer no later than 16 March 2020.
