Purpose of the ICEM Committee

The ICEM Committee is a standing committee of IFEM. Its purpose is to oversee and advise upon IFEM’s strategy for the future of IFEM’s flagship ICEM annual conference. Its work will be supported and executed by the ICEM Liaison Groups responsible for each conference. It is responsible for convening a Venue Selection Group for each year of applications and returning a summary and recommendation to the Board.

Function of the ICEM Committee

The International Conference on Emergency Medicine (ICEM) Committee serves to:

• valuate options to ensure that the right mechanisms and plans are in place for a professional, smoothly run, and academically world-class conference each year
• assure the Board of measures to protect revenue generation from the conference
• evaluate and advise the Board on options for enhanced revenue generation associated with the conference (including pre- and post- conference sessions)
• ensure that each conference serves the academic and inspirational needs of Emergency Physicians and other emergency healthcare staff, wherever in the world they practice
