Mental Health Emergencies Around the World
This virtual symposium is brought to you by the International Federation for Emergency Medicine in collaboration with the Royal College of Emergency Medicine.
Mental health is not a diagnosis like other conditions associated with clear presentations, diagnostic tests and definitive treatment. It is a complex presentation of multiple factors that includes, but is not limited to, biological, social, cultural, and environmental factors.
This event will explore a variety of presentations and approaches to the care and management of mental health disorders.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the associated factors that may contribute to mental health presentations to an emergency department
- Learn about tools and interventions that may be employed in the management of mental health disorders
- Recognize the universality of factors and conditions, despite geographic differences
Post event registration
This event is available for 12 months - until 27 October 2023. Before you can register for this on demand event, you will need a RCEM account. Create an account.
Once you have created the account, you will need to add some information about your employment grade. If you do not work in the UK, please put the closest equivalent grade you can from the list. You also need to add a ‘from date’ which is when you started your current role, but leave the ‘to date’ empty. These details allow for our registration system to recognize you.
Once this has been added you can proceed to book the event. If you have any questions, or are struggling to register, please email [email protected]
