Full Member
Name in Arabic: الجمعية الليبية لطب الطوارئ
Name in English: Libyan Emergency Medicine Association “LEMA”
LEMA is an organization that has been authorized and registered by a local authority under number (425) 2013. Its mission is to enhance the science and practice of emergency medicine in Libya by encouraging and promoting professional competence.
As a national association, we'll seek to improve public understanding of emergency care, strategic planning, training in emergency medicine, and protocol formulation.
Our full membership in AFEM and IFEM supports our advocacy efforts, as well as our efforts to expand our research environment by exchanging experiences.
We take pride in the fact that we have trained 5000 people across all of Libya's regions in more than 190 training courses/workshops, the first symposium on emergency medicine, which gathered more than 400 participants, and the LEMA CME and CPD system, which has been implemented successfully.
LEMA structure consists of:
- Executive Council: (5 members)
- LEMA working committees:
- LEMA Education Committee
- LEMA Clinical Governance Committee
- LEMA Research Committee
- LEMA Nursing Committee
- LEMA Academic Committee
- LEMA Pre-Hospital Committee
- LEMA Undergraduate Committee
- LEMA Disaster Committee
- LEMA Resuscitation Council
