Dr Prinetha Moodley
Emergency Medicine Society of South Africa
Secretary, Paediatric Emergency Special Interest Group
Prinetha Moodley is a paediatrician working at Paarl Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa. She works in paediatric emergency care particularly in the areas of triage, referral pathways of care for critically ill children and medical education. She is passionate about advocacy and support as it pertains to the rural setting and systems development in resource limited settings to improve the quality of emergency care for children. She has been involved in the implementation of Emergency triage assessment and treatment program in South Africa. She is actively involved with African outreach programs to South Sudan and other countries to improve emergency care of children in these countries. She is also involved with the development and implementation of paediatric emergency medicine as a subspeciality within South Africa. Currently she is also part of the special interest group of Emergency Medicine of South Africa.
