Associate Professor Jiraporn Sri-on
Thai College of Emergency Physicians
Vice Chair, Geriatric Emergency Medicine Special Interest Group
Dr Jiraporn is an Emergency Physician and chair of the Emergency Department, Vajira Hospital, Navamindardhiraj Univarsity, Bangkok, Thailand. She was previously a research fellow in geriatric emergency medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard, USA. She is clinical lead in taking care of older patients in the ED for abdominal pain, delirium, procedure sedation, palliative care and the project “Develop the health system to improve quality of health status, Independent Living, Maintenance of Balance, among older urban adults with trauma (falls) of Thai Health Promotion organization.” She is chair of the academic section, Thai College of Emergency Physician. She has been involved in the development of stroke clinical practice guidelines for Thai emergency physicians. Her research focus is on delirium, falls, pain management and dehydration among older ED patients.
