Don Melady
Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians
Chair, Clinical Practice Committee
Dr Melady is an Emergency Physician at Mount Sinai Hospital and an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Toronto, Canada. His focus is Geriatric Emergency Medicine, with the goal of improving care of older people in acute care, through clinical education, Quality Improvement and system change. He is the chair of the Geriatric Emergency Medicine Committee of the Canadian Association of Emergency Medicine. He is active in the Geriatric ED Collaborative and the ACEP Geriatric ED Accreditation Board. He has created an online resource for practicing clinicians, teaches a curriculum for EM residents, and is the director of a Fellowship in Geriatric Emergency Medicine at University of Toronto.
