Important information for all positions
Nominations must be received by the IFEM Secretariat via [email protected] by 23:59 UTC on Sunday 3rd May 2026.
Nominations must include the following:
- The names and contact details of the nominating organisation and the nominee.
- A “consent to act if elected” from the nominee.
- A one-page document addressing each of the above eligibility criteria for the position(s) being nominated to.
- A current Curriculum Vitae of the nominee.
Precedence will be given to nominees for Board positions who already hold a “director ID”. Nominees, if elected, will not be able to assume their position until they confirm they have a “director ID” and provide it to the IFEM Company Secretary.
Individuals may be nominated for more than one position if they are eligible for each nominated position as above. At the election, the positions will be appointed in the following order: President-Elect, Member-elected Director, and Regional Representative to Council. Once a nominee is elected to a position on the Board or Council, they will no longer be eligible for any other elected position for which they were nominated.
Once received, each nomination will be reviewed by the Nominations Committee, which will recommend to the Board the eligibility of each nominee for each position nominated. For each position, if there is only one eligible nominee, they will be duly declared elected. If there is more than one nominee for any single position, an election will be held, with any Full or Founding members in good standing invited to vote for each position requiring an election. For the position of Regional Representative, only members in the relevant region will be invited to vote for that position.
Any queries can be directed to the IFEM Secretariat via [email protected].
