Volunteer with IFEM - the Global Experience Programme

Make an impact that lasts. Grow your skills. Connect globally.

At IFEM, our mission is driven by our people. We are seeking passionate individuals from around the world to join our dynamic volunteer network. Whether you are a seasoned professional looking to give back or a student eager to gain real-world experience, your unique skills can help us deliver life-changing programmes across the globe.

The Global Experience Program offers a unique opportunity for ambitious individuals from diverse academic backgrounds (including medicine, emergency medicine, business, finance, and public health) to gain hands-on experience in a global organisation dedicated to health innovation and the improvement of emergency care.

You do not need to be an emergency physician to perform these roles.

Why Volunteer with IFEM?

Volunteering with IFEM provides meaningful personal and professional growth within a global community committed to positive change. You will gain hands-on experience across international programmes, developing transferable skills in project coordination, strategic communications, leadership, and cross-cultural collaboration.

Your contributions will be recognised through official certificates of service, letters of recommendation, and opportunities to showcase your work in IFEM publications and case studies. Beyond tangible credentials, you will join a supportive network where your expertise is valued, your voice is heard, and your passion for impact is matched by real opportunities to shape outcomes.

Whether you're early in your career seeking relevant experience or an established professional wanting to give back, IFEM volunteers leave with strengthened capabilities, broader perspectives, and lasting connections that extend far beyond their volunteer term.
