Dr David Teng is a senior consultant with the Emergency Department, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He holds the appointment of Commander, Disaster Site Medical Command, Ministry of Health, Singapore, where he leads the disaster response and emergency preparedness nationally. A passionate educator, Dr Teng is the site posting director for undergraduate medical education in his department and has obtained numerous teaching excellence awards in Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Dr Teng also works with the IFEM Disaster Special Interest Group to increase awareness of principles of disaster medicine and to encourage collaboration between various countries in this area.
