fran kinnear
Australasian College for Emergency Medicine
Chair, Research Group
Hailing originally from the Scottish Highlands, Dr Kinnear is known for her integrity plus an infectious energy. Formally dual-trained to post-doctoral level, she has experience in all facets of the research process plus a wide range of methodologies. She views research as a tool to drive change and believes that embedding it in the front line is crucial to driving quality care delivery. Having founded and led a successful research group based on that philosophy in a research-naive and rapidly expanding emergency department in Australia, she is now keen to use her skills to facilitate collaboration and development of both researchers and research capacity in emergency care delivery across the globe, but particularly in relatively resource-poor environments.
