Dr Lia Losonczy
American College of Emergency Physicians
Chair, Critical Care in Emergency Medicine SIG
Dr Lia Losonczy is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., USA. She attended Johns Hopkins School of Medicine for her M.D., as well as her Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree. She went on to complete her residency in Emergency Medicine at the public trauma hospital in Oakland, California, USA followed by a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the University of Maryland/Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore USA.
Dr Lia Losonczy has been working on early critical care services in low resource settings, working with physicians in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Her research interests also include health inequities, social determinants of health, and interpersonal violence.
