The Korean Society of Emergency Medicine has achieved remarkable growth over the past 33 years. However, it is also a reality that as much as we have grown, we are facing various challenges that we must endure and overcome.

I think it is as important as the external growth to ensure that the internal perfection and harmony of the academic organization are well established. From the original role of the academic society, such as academic, research activities, training and education, to the academic human support of internal affiliated academic societies and branches, we will communicate to develop well-integrated and connected with the Korean Society of Emergency Medicine.

Currently established as a representative academic society in Korea, it is possible to respond to the rapid and diverse changes in the medical environment at home and abroad by establishing relationships with other academic societies, organizations, and various related professional occupations, such as the 5-year emergency medical plan, essential medical care and emergency medical system issues. We will also consider whether the accumulation of external capabilities is sufficient and what the best countermeasures are.
