Dr Saleh Fares Al-Ali IFEM President
I am delighted to commend the incredible success of the 23rd International Conference on Emergency Medicine (ICEM 2024), held at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) and Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) from June 19 to 23, 2024.
First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt thanks to Dr. Chip-Jin Ng, Chairperson of ICEM 2024, for his exceptional leadership and dedication in orchestrating such a remarkable event. Your vision and hard work have truly shone through in every aspect of the conference.
I also want to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Chien-Chin Hsu, President of the Taiwanese Society for Emergency Medicine (TSEM), for his unwavering support and collaboration. Your contributions have been instrumental in making this conference a resounding success.
To the distinguished speakers, thank you for sharing your expertise and innovative ideas, enriching the conference with your knowledge and insights. Your contributions have sparked meaningful discussions and collaborations that will undoubtedly advance our field.

Together, we have celebrated the theme of Glocalization of Emergency Medicine, bridging global wisdom with local solutions, and paving the way for future advancements in Emergency Medicine.
As I assume the role of President of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM), I am excited to collaborate with the new board members as we strive for greater achievements and advancements in the field of Emergency Medicine on a global scale.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ffion Davies for her exceptional leadership as President over the past two years. Her vision and contributions have been invaluable, guiding us to where we are today.
I also wish to extend my sincere gratitude to the outgoing board members: Dr. Paul Ho, Prof. Sally McCarthy, Dr. T.S.
