The WHO Emergency Medical Teams (EMT) Global Meeting is a key gathering of the global community of national and international EMT organizations, Member States, partners and stakeholders in health emergency preparedness and response. It serves as a crucial platform for exchanging knowledge and practice, fostering mutual collaboration and support, strengthening EMT development, coordination and response, and advancing the goal and objectives of the EMT 2030 strategy.

This upcoming EMT Global Meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia will be the first global meeting to be held in the WHO African Region. It will mark another milestone and serve as a critical juncture for the global EMT community to reflect on accomplishments, share and build on lessons learned, and accelerate progress at the mid-point of EMT 2030. The meeting is anticipated to once again convene participants from around the world, including policy-makers, planners, practitioners, and researchers from Member States, national and local health authorities, EMT organizations, the EMT Network, academia and partners from across the health emergency, humanitarian and disaster preparedness and response sectors.
