Dr. N. Praveen Kumar, Dr. Prabhu Sundararajan, Dr. Narendra Nath Jena
ABSTRACT
This article provides a comprehensive overview of road traffic accidents (RTAs) in India, focusing on the trauma case reports of three individuals admitted to emergency departments due to RTA-related injuries. The cases highlight the diverse nature of injuries sustained in RTAs, ranging from head trauma to limb amputation, and underscore the urgent need for improved road safety measures and timely medical intervention. Additionally, it discusses the social impact of RTAs and emphasizes the importance of public awareness campaigns and education initiatives to mitigate the risk of accidents. Through a multidisciplinary approach involving healthcare professionals, policymakers, and the public, efforts can be made to prevent RTAs and minimize their adverse effects on individuals and communities.
