Dr Constance LeBlanc

Regional Representative - North America
Dr Constance LeBlanc (Connie) is a tertiary care Emergency Physician and Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Dalhousie University in Halifax Nova Scotia, Canada. She holds a Master of Arts in Education and has over three decades of clinical experience. Her recent completion of a Masters’ degree in Business Administration and Technology and current enrollment in a Canadian Certified Inclusion Professional certification program are evidence of her continued curiosity and commitment to expanding her skillset.
Her commitment to education and how we can impact patient care through education underscores all her work. Connie has served as UGME, PGME, Residency Program Director, and Director of Education for Emergency Medicine at Dalhousie University. Connie also served as chair for the Emergency Medicine Examination for the Canadian CCFP(EM) program for a decade. Dr. LeBlanc has also and served two terms as Associate Dean for Continuing Professional Development and Medical Education Research at Dalhousie University.
Dr LeBlanc particularly enjoys teaching and has provided education in clinical medicine, leadership, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, and faculty development nationally and internationally. She has served as faculty member for five RoadShows for the Canadian Association of Emergency Medicine over the past two decades and is a sought-after speaker of a range of topics in medicine. Her scholarship and publications in EDIB are significant and a focus of her most recent research and presentations. She has been the recipient of several awards in education and in leadership including the Dalhousie Community of Scholars’ Award for Education, a Freddie Award (Educational film award), Internet Gold Top-10 Award from the Essentials of Emergency Medicine, and the CAEP President’s Award in 2022.
Connie maintains a balanced life, has two adult children, travels with her partner to SCUBA dive, explore remote areas, and meet new people.
