Management of acute traumatic spinal injury

The International Standards for the Neurological Classification of Spinal Cord Injury {ISNCSCI) is routinely used to classify the severity spinal cord injury. The ISNCSCI (1982) guidelines classified the neurological level and extent of the injury to achieve reliable data for clinical care and research studies.
In 2011 the ISNCSCI were revised and informs clinical practice at the RBWH.
